Job Description

Position: EU Buyer for Indirect Commodities_IT/IS Specialist.

Reports to: EU Indirect Purchasing Manager

The work environment is fast-paced and very international. We are looking for individuals who can see the big picture but also dive into details and get things done. A highly skilled and experienced IT Buyer to be responsible for the procurement of IT hardware and software licenses at a European level. This includes network equipment, servers, laptops, peripherals, and other related items. The IT Buyer will also manage software licenses and understand common cloud-based subscription models and enterprise agreements. An understanding of Statements of Work (SOWs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Master Service Agreements (MSAs) is essential.


The candidate can be based at any of our legal entities in Europe: France (Douai), the UK (Sunderland), or Germany (Munich).


Responsibilities:

  • Procure IT hardware and software licenses across Europe, ensuring the best value for the company.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and prices.
  • Oversee the procurement process, from identifying requirements to receiving goods.
  • Manage software licenses, ensuring compliance with licensing terms and conditions.
  • Understand and manage common cloud-based subscription models and enterprise agreements.
  • Develop and manage SOWs, SLAs, and MSAs with suppliers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest IT trends and products.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to understand their needs and ensure they are met.
  • Manage inventory of IT assets and equipment.
  • Resolve any issues or problems that arise with orders or deliveries.
  • Develop a market intelligence program across the region that benchmarks key industry indicators/market prices to ensure accurate price forecasting and risk mitigation.
  • Build and maintain strong connections with Global Purchasing and Local Purchasing to support strategies and to develop suppliers both regionally and locally.
  • Identify, and engage EU vendors; develop requests for information/quotations (RFI-RFQ); align plant functional needs (in coordination with Global leaders) to support TdC activities i.e. cost reduction YOY -5 to -15%, payment conditions improvements, catalog discounted rebates, …etc and contractual finalisation.
  • Ensure timely implementation and communications resulting from EU negotiations to required business partners.
  • Assess and evaluate suppliers to undertake performance reviews driving improvement activities.
  • Work cross-functionally to establish QCD targets, and objectives and monitor/report KPIs to local management, EU, and Global Leaders

Qualifications
  • Degree University qualification is essential, ideally on IT, Business or Supply Chain Management.
  • CIPS or MCIPS is preferred for this role.
  • Extensive knowledge of IT hardware, including network equipment, servers, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Experience in software license management.
  • Experience in developing and managing SOWs, SLAs, and MSAs.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI, SAP
  • Travel will be required within the EU.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Language fluent in English is essential (C1 level).
