About the Role
The Manufacturing/Production Supervisor plans, directs, coordinates, and controls manufacturing activities in assigned work area to achieve established goals. Install, commission, and qualify new equipment and fixtures for production implementation. Supervises assigned team members to maintain production schedules with quality product and on time delivery while maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities include direction and training of employees, monitoring inventory levels and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental policies.

What You Will Do
Production Management:
- Plans and executes daily production activities to meet schedule requirements.
- Manages production scheduling to minimize delays, material shortages, or equipment issues.
- Proactively identifies and resolves production problems and delays through troubleshooting.
- Controls labor and material usage to meet or improve standard costs.
- Temporarily reallocates personnel to meet production demands.
- Ensures achievement of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Time (SQCT) KPIs.
- Collaborates across shifts to standardize manufacturing operations and communicates with maintenance/engineering to resolve equipment or material issues.
- Generates weekly KPI reports and prepares One Point Lessons (OPL) and Standard Operating Sheets (SOS) to support Envision AESC Production Way (EAPW).
- Completes administrative tasks and paperwork, investigates material variances, and prepares necessary reports.
- Communicates delay reports and addresses quality concerns with feedback to relevant teams.
- Supports continuous improvement efforts and applies tools to improve efficiency in assigned areas.
People Management:
- Supervises production technicians, managing time, attendance, overtime, skill evaluations, and training plans.
- Coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees as needed, while maintaining records for performance, attendance, safety, and training.
- Ensures compliance with AESC policies and procedures and ensures safe plant operations.
- Demonstrates strong communication, documentation, and multitasking skills, with flexibility for shift changes.
Training:
- Develops and updates standard operating sheets and collaborates with trainers to ensure the team meets training expectations.
- Maintains a detailed training log with coverage redundancy and ensures team members receive proper technical and powered equipment training.
- Provides training for IATF 16949, ISO9001 (quality), and ISO14001 (environmental) standards.
- Coaches team members for leadership and supervisory development, while maintaining all relevant training documentation.
- Safety:
- Ensures technicians operate safely, adhering to guidelines and proactively identifying safety concerns.
- Facilitates post-incident countermeasures to improve safety performance.
- Administers and enforces health, environmental, and safety programs and practices, ensuring compliance in the workplace.

Travel
Domestic and international travel required
International travel will be required with intervals of 2-4 weeks.
Work Environment
The work environment is primarily an automated manufacturing plant with a concrete floor and is characterized by some temperature extremes, moderate noise, and forklift traffic. The individual must be able to perform all essential functions as appropriate on the plant floor, in meetings, and with employees, management, customers and suppliers.

What You Need
- 5+ years in a work leader role coordinating the work of other employees and contractors. This includes training new employees, assigning work, and checking the timeliness and quality of work. May have provided input into performance reviews. Most time in work leader role would have been spent performing work similar to that performed by the people whose activities the position coordinates.
- Strong preference for a background in supporting highly technical, automotive-related manufacturing environments.
- Prefer 2-5 years of experience in a leadership role, coordinating the work of employees and contractors, including training new employees, assigning tasks, and monitoring the quality and timeliness of work.
- May have provided input for performance reviews and should have spent significant time performing tasks similar to those of the team being coordinated.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, other PC applications, and mainframe systems is essential for producing non-standard, creative products.
- Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and Quality systems, including interface, data entry, and reporting functions, is also required.
- Preferred candidate should possess the experience and knowledge necessary to support continuous improvement activities within a production department, driving toward a highly effective and efficient production team.
- Must be organized, give clear direction, and be able to coach and counsel employees as needed.
What is “Nice to Have”?
- A minimum of 1-2 years of post-high school education is preferred.
- High-volume manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Lithium-ion battery manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Clean/dry room experience is a plus.
- Prior Mixing experience and/or film web handling experience preferred.
- Battery cell production experience is highly preferred
- Optical detection system understanding
- Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is advantageous, as it aligns with our global operations and enhances communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience or familiarity with the dynamics of start-up environments, showcasing an ability to thrive in agile and fast-paced settings.
