Role Purpose

As a CSA Engineer for management the construction, you willbe responsible for the on-site construction to coordinate and manage it. This person must be focused on assisting with construction permit applications, construction progress management, quality control and project stakeholder coordination.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Schedule Management:

  • Develop detailed Civil, Structure and Architectural construction plans (including milestone plans and weekly/monthly schedules) on the basis of the overall project schedule, defining timelines, resource allocation and task assignments for each construction stage.
  • Conduct daily progress tracking and analysis to compare actual progress against the planned schedule in real time; identify deviations promptly and propose targeted corrective actions (e.g., optimising construction sequence, allocating additional construction resources) to ensure the project advances as planned.
  • Report progress status to the direct manager regularly, including completed tasks, pending issues affecting the schedule, and proposed solutions; coordinate with relevant teams to resolve bottlenecks (e.g., material supply delays, construction team coordination issues).

2. Quality Control:


  • Establish and improve the on-site CSA construction quality management system in accordance with Spanish standards and project requirements; define clear quality control indicators and acceptance criteria for each construction process (e.g., precast concrete installation, concrete pouring).
  • Carry out full-process quality supervision: deliver technical briefings before construction to ensure construction team understand quality requirements; perform in-process inspections (e.g., sampling inspection of concrete strength, component installation accuracy verification) to avoid potential quality risks; organise final acceptance inspections of sub-projects to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Lead quality issue resolution: investigate the causes of defects promptly (e.g., concrete cracks, component installation deviations); formulate corrective action plans in line with local regulations and supervise their implementation; and conduct re-inspections to ensure complete resolution.


3. Other Management Duties:


  • Manage the review and approval of project-related payments within the scope of responsibility according to company procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, cost, procurement, safety, etc.) to resolve technical and management issues during construction, ensuring smooth communication and coordination among all parties.
  • Prepare and compile construction management documentation in accordance with Spanish local requirements, including construction logs, inspection reports, acceptance documents, progress tracking sheets and quality test records, ensuring its completeness and accuracy.
  • Supervise on-site work of construction teams and subcontractors; conduct daily management tasks, such as work assignment, safety supervision, progress assessment and quality evaluation.
  • Participate in project construction meetings, report progress, quality status, existing issues and solutions; and follow up on the implementation of meeting resolutions.
  • Complete other construction management tasks assigned by managers according to project needs and local regulations.
  • Strictly comply with applicable local construction procedures, standards and regulations to ensure all construction activities are legally compliant.

Cualificaciones

Required Experience & Expertise

  • Education: Civil Engineering or related fields. 
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in CSA Construction Management and have managed at least one industrial project, such as a factory, workshop, etc. 
  • Language: Fluency in Spanish (C1 or above) and working proficiency in English (B2 or above). 


  • Core Skills:
  • Proficient in office software (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and scheduling tools (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project); skilled in construction management software (AutoCAD, BIM-related tools) and quality inspection tools/software.
  • Strong planning and schedule control capabilities: capable of developing reasonable schedules based on project objectives, analysing accurately schedule risks and proposing effective adjustment strategies.
  • Excellent quality control capability: familiar with construction quality management methods, able to identify quality risks in advance and resolve quality issues efficiently.
  • Strong on-site management capability, able to handle unexpected issues efficiently during construction.
  • Good communication, coordination and teamwork skills, able to collaborate smoothly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, rigorous and detail-oriented, adaptable to the pace of on-site construction work.


  • Preferred Skills:
  • Familiar with the construction management of precast concrete structures; relevant project experience is preferred.
  • Familiar with Spanish construction procedures, standards (e.g., building codes, safety regulations) and industry practices.
  • Extensive experience in schedule control and quality management: hands-on experience in schedule planning, deviation tracking and issue resolution; experience in establishing quality management systems, organising inspections and handling quality defects.
  • In-depth understanding of construction quality inspection and acceptance procedures; experience in organising or participating in project acceptance is preferred.
