Description du poste

Company Overview

AESC is a global leader in lithium‑ion and LFP battery technology, with a fast-growing footprint across Japan, the UK, France, China, and the USA—soon expanding in Spain with a €1‑billion gigafactory in Extremadura to open by 2026 and create up to 900 direct jobs in phase one. The Spanish facility is designed as the first net‑zero industrial park gigafactory in the country, aligning with AESC’s mission to pioneer sustainable battery manufacturing.

Role Purpose

As a Senior Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and comprehensively managing the cost control processes associated with the construction of a battery gigafactory in Spain. The role requires solid experience in large-scale industrial projects and a deep understanding of cost estimation, control, and monitoring for civil works and MEP disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Cost Estimation & Settlement Management. Prepare project cost estimates; review engineering preliminary budgets, official budgets and reference prices. Handle cost verification for engineering changes and site visas, and be fully responsible for project final settlement.
  2. Bidding Document Management. Compile and review engineering tender documents, conduct comprehensive bid evaluation and tender return analysis, and provide professional and reasonable optimization suggestions for bidding strategies.
  3. Dynamic Cost Control & Data Management. Implement full-cycle dynamic cost management for infrastructure projects, including regular cost statistics, risk monitoring and early warning. Establish and maintain the company’s engineering cost database to support project cost benchmarking.
  4. Budget Execution & Target Cost Management. Supervise the on-site implementation of project budgets, participate in overall project cost control, and ensure effective delivery of project target cost indicators.
  5. Contract Management & Audit Support. Track the whole process of project contract signing, review and audit contract change contents, and standardize contract cost management procedures.
  6. Business & Process Coordination. Assist in coordinating daily cost management work of company infrastructure projects, and optimize and sort out relevant business processes.

Led by a diverse and experienced management team, AESC employs more than 14,000 professionals worldwide. The company combines state-of-the-art technology, Japanese craftsmanship, and a strong track record in safety to deliver advanced battery solutions. AESC offers a comprehensive portfolio across various cathode chemistries and form factors, including LFP, NCM/MCA, and pouch, cylindrical, and prismatic cell formats.
