About the Role

AESC is seeking a Process Engineering Manager, who will serve as a key member that guides a team of engineers to successfully execute new and minor model manufacturing programs. Reporting to the Process Engineering Sr. Manager, this role drives the technical strategy for process standardization, layout efficiency, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will blend strategic vision with tactical oversight—managing everything from equipment, material, and tooling procurement to executing robust quality countermeasures, reducing scrap, and maximizing overall equipment efficiency.

What You Will Do

  • Provide high-level engineering support to the battery manufacturing plant to solve complex problems related to Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety (QCDS).
  • Lead the development and execution of major and minor model manufacturing plans. This includes managing trials, launching new equipment, and tooling, and ensuring all program targets are met at every development stage.
  • Monitor trial results and production data to ensure technical countermeasures for quality or workability issues are implemented rapidly and effectively.
  • Support manufacturing through ongoing process improvements, providing strategic direction on manpower utilization, line efficiency, and ergonomics.
  • Collaborate with global engineering and design groups to seamlessly implement design changes for batteries and components.
  • Develop robust processes to improve manufacturability, resolving Product Quality Assurance (PQA) concerns and addressing early field feedback.
  • Identify, develop, and implement new departmental tracking processes and systems to systematically achieve and exceed corporate KPIs.
  • Manage and lead the development of budgets for new model programs; enforce strict adherence to approved budgets post-contract.
  • Establish clear annual goals tied to corporate KPIs, providing continuous coaching, guidance, and training to guide process engineers in tracking and achieving their metrics.
  • Manage the full talent lifecycle for the unit, including interviewing and selecting talent, writing performance evaluations, approving time/attendance, and recommending promotions, merit increases, or disciplinary actions.
