AESC is recruiting for the Contamination Control Manager position to join our Giga factory project in France. This role will be critical to the successful launch of the facility and will focus on process engineering, delivery, commissioning, and ongoing production support for the dedicated process area.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a major European battery project and be part of a significant industrial transformation within the electric vehicle marketplace. The role will be based in Douai.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

-  Reduce contamination in the production process by ensuring ramp-up to production volume.

- Oversee contamination control during ongoing production, providing quick issue resolution, continuous optimization, and root cause analysis.

- Lead the assessment of equipment in term of contamination

- Lead process contamination monitoring and problem-solving efforts for contamination-related issues.

- Optimize dust removal and magnetization processes.

- Inspect foreign bodies and contamination on-site, promote training for contamination control.

- Lead the tracking of contamination control plans and optimize cleaning work instructions.

- Conduct regular contamination audits across the facility and provide support during the ramp-up to mass production.


Required Skills:

- Experience in process engineering with a focus on process control and optimization.

- Leadership in problem-solving and root cause analysis for complex manufacturing issues.

- Experience conducting lab-based analysis and operating lab equipment for contamination analysis.

- Experience investigating product quality through tear-downs or investigations.

- Strong report writing skills with the ability to drive issues to resolution.

- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of leading teams in cross-functional environments.

Advantageous Experience:

- Previous involvement in battery manufacturing or similar technologies (e.g., high-speed consumer goods, high-speed machining or assembly, printing, web conversion).

- Background in high-volume, quality-focused environments.

Prerequisites:

- Degree in Engineering or a related field.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French

- Willingness to travel internationally (<10%).

-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and word processing tools.
