Job Description

Duties:    Responsible for leading and coordinating the efforts of the failure modes’ identification and study from D/P-FMEA, the study of process control specifications and the development of prevention and mitigation methods in production line, as well as the final product failure probability estimation; develop and review technical documentation and communication with internal and external customers as required; work closely with cross-functional teams in US and China to ensure the product failure modes are well studied, and controlled in production line in order to achieve enhanced reliability and safety targets; implement and customize the developed process from RCM to the local work environment to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of overall reliability/safety analysis business; lead activities of the Maintenance department, including setup of the new facility lines; assist with mentoring and training of new hires within the Maintenance team; support equipment buyoff processes and develop standard operating procedures (SOPs); coordinate new model and minor model program implementations; provide daily production support, focusing on efficiency improvement and scrap reduction; participate in equipment acquisition and implementation for the new plant; drive continuous improvement initiatives to exceed key performance indicators (KPIs); collaborate with global project teams on new equipment design and drawing reviews; develop and maintain project schedules for maintenance engineering activities; attend equipment buy-offs and provide technical support for installation and commissioning of new systems; coordinate and support technical training and documentation for maintenance personnel on new and existing equipment; performing preventive maintenance systems in TPM and PM Optimization; developing supplier relationships to meet (quality/cost/delivery & safety) objectives; setting and driving KPIs; utilize RCM (reliability center management) and design equipment review to complete tasks; utilize and apply knowledge of D/P-FMEA, 6Sigma theory, reliability data analysis software including Minitab and JMP, and high-volume lithium-ion battery production environments to perform duties; report equipment status and project progress to management; maintain and update technical documentation, including electrical, schematic, and mechanical drawings; troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure equipment reliability and uptime; communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding quality, cost, delivery, and safety objectives; lead improvements in the plant’s preventive maintenance system, including TPM and PM Optimization; ensure compliance with 5S, IATF16949, VDA 6.3, and ISO14001 standards; and proactively identify and address safety concerns to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.


Location: Smyrna, Tennessee, and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the US;


Salary: $125,200 per year


Minimum Qualifications:    Education: Bachelors Degree: Quality Control, Quality Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);


Training: None;


Experience: Five (5) years in the position above, as a Sr. Process Engineer, as an Operational Excellence Engineer, as a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, as a Process Reliability Engineer, or in a related occupation;


Other Requirements: 


    Experience must include five (5) years of all the following: D/P-FMEA, IATF16949, VDA 6.3, ISO14001 standards, performing preventive maintenance systems in TPM and PM Optimization, developing supplier relationships to meet (quality/cost/delivery & safety) objectives, setting and driving KPIs, RCM (reliability center management), and design equipment review.            


    Experience must include three (3) years use of all the following: 6Sigma theory, reliability data analysis software including Minitab and JMP, and high-volume lithium-ion battery production environments.


Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
